A. "when Ronald Reagan died" was meant to describe a time frame, so a ballpark figure within 3 days of the Venus occultation.
re: Whitney - I thought yours a lovely tribute to Whitney Houston and the title so appropriate. The article didn't condescend; it didn't overextend. But most important, it kept the focus on Whitney, rather than her dire relationship with B. Brown. She was a part of our family, in that we all were so much younger then, listening to this 19 year-old with a wonder voice. Thank you, Sir Michael!

I wanted to mention that USA Uranus is not conjunct bloodthirsty Antares but is in opposition to it (8 Sagittarius). It is, however, conjunct Aldebaran, which is associated with honor and integrity but also with warmongering. The USA's Uranus's opposition to Antares in relation to
the growing transiting Uranus-Pluto square (first one exact this June), could signal violence from and against the many who stand with the OCCUPY movement. Uranus can escalate through tactics of anarchy on location as well as through continued hacktivism behind the safety of a computer screen. Adding the election silly season and the brinksmanship of Israel, Iran and Syria to the mix, I believe we're heading for a long hot summer.

re: March 4 election for Russia: Is it just a judgment call when one uses the newly formed country of Russia's horoscope, after the dissolution of USSR, or whether one uses still the USSR horoscope that came about after WWI ? We're in a conundrum in Latvia, for example, with varied horoscopes being used, one of them going back to the Republic's first chart in 1918...
A. I think the June 12, 1990 chart is the most relevant, but you might also pay attention to common degree areas between the various charts, as well as planetary combinations to chart cycles.
The Uranus-Pluto square in June aligns with Russia's Mars-UR square, so whatever happens in March is only the beginning of major internal upheaval, it seems to me.
re: corporations - Well, looks like coporations as people will be with us for quite a while. I was kinda hopin' that the broad, legal (over)reach by corporations via the Supremes might have instigated a political backlash that would curb corporate power, but not in the near future, obviously. Thank you once again for fulfilling on a topic I've been curious about!

Billionaire Sara Blakely
Last week, to honor International Women’s Day, Forbes magazine graced their cover with Sara Blakely, who has become the world’s youngest self-made woman billionaire. During her Saturn return (at age 29), she founded her line of Spanx hosiery with a $5,000 investment, turning it into a hugely successful corporate enterprise through sheer determination and an innovative, stylish product line.
Sara Blakely was born with her Sun in imaginative Pisces (February 21, 1971; Clearwater, FL; time unknown), where it squares an outgoing Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Sagittarius. This highly visual, optimistic combination has given her a knack for hucksterism and the self-confidence to pursue her dream. Venus is in ambitious Capricorn at the midpoint of this square, which has gifted her with beauty and a heightened sense of fashion.
Blakely has a challenging Mars-Saturn aspect, which constantly pushes her to test her limits. She has performance anxiety and a fear of heights, but when transiting Pluto was conjunct her Mars in 2003, she auditioned to be on Richard Branson’s reality TV show, Rebel Billionaire. She was severely tested in a hot-air balloon at 8,000 feet. The show aired on Fox in 2004 as transiting Uranus was conjunct her Sun, making her an instant celebrity.
Three of the four asteroids are closely aspecting her Sun, making her a primary channel for goddess power. The Sun sextile Ceres in Taurus gives her solid financial insights, the square to Juno brought her a multi-talented husband, and the sextile to Vesta in Capricorn increases her business acumen. Through her words and charity work, she supports the empowerment of women. As she says, “We deliver. We can make the world a better place one butt at a time.”
Rush Limbaugh and the Feminazis
Limbaugh’s temperament is dramatically shaped around his Mars-Pluto opposition, which pits him (Mars in the 1st house) against perceived enemies (Pluto in 7th house). Mars is the ruler of his 3rd house of communications, so that his warrior planet expresses itself through his incendiary talk show. Limbaugh’s Mercury conjoins Chiron and is part of a highly polarized Grand Cross, further adding to his ability to wound (Chiron) through words (Mercury).
The recently discovered outer planet Eris is behind Limbaugh’s undoing. Transiting Eris is forming an exact square to his Sun and an inconjunction (150º) to his Midheaven. Eris is associated with troublemaking, strife, and indicates how a little tantrum can turn into a major uproar.

Simultaneously, transiting Uranus in Limbaugh’s 2nd house of money was conjunct his Part of Fortune and opposing his 8th house Saturn, leading to an abrupt loss of corporate sponsors.
Kristin McGee, Celebrity Yoga Teacher
A prominent New York Times article this week details with some alarm how India has become Americanized. Lost in the discussion is how America has become Indianized, which is most evident in the parabolic growth of yoga. The 1960s hippie culture embraced yoga as a path to enlightenment, but nowadays celebrity teachers like Kristin McGee are touting its physical, mental and spiritual benefits.
Kristin McGee was born with her Sun in the health-conscious sign of Virgo (August 31, 1973; Pocatello, ID; time unknown). The Sun conjoins Mercury, strongly placed in its own sign, and these two trine Mars and square Neptune. This configuration centered around her Sun describes her interest in mental (Mercury), physical (Mars), and spiritual (Neptune) development, which all comes together in the discipline of yoga.
McGee’s Saturn at 2º Cancer is conjunct her South Node and exactly conjunct the U.S. Venus. Saturn here describes her innate sense of authority, and since the U.S. Venus represents American women in general and celebrities in particular, she has become a yoga instructor to thousands of women and numerous Hollywood luminaries, including Steve Martin, Tina Fey and LeAnn Rimes. She appears regularly on TV shows and the covers of health magazines.
The asteroid Vesta is specifically associated with yoga. The glyph for Vesta represents the eternal flame, which resonates with the kundalini energy that yoga awakens. McKee was born with Chiron opposite Uranus, a generational aspect that fosters an interest in innovative, alternative health techniques. By being trine Chiron and sextile Uranus, Vesta harmonizes the unsettling, disruptive influence that Chiron-Uranus can bring. McGee produced her first yoga DVD in 2003 when her progressed Vesta was forming an exact hit to Jupiter, the planet bringing opportunity.

On February 29, conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh went on the offensive against Sandra Fluke,
calling her a slut and prostitute for advocating mandated insurance coverage for contraceptives. Limbaugh lumped Ms. Fluke into a group he refers to as feminazis* and speculated endlessly on their ravenous sex lives. Over the following week, Limbaugh’s advertisers left in droves to protest his remarks.
Rush Limbaugh was born with his Sun in authoritarian Capricorn (January 12, 1951; 7:50 am; Cape Girardeau, MO). The Sun is conjunct Ceres, giving him an interest in parenting, birth control, and contraception issues. The Sun’s exact sextile to his Midheaven has helped him attain success in his profession. Saturn in his 8th house of corporate sponsors forms a supportive trine to his media-savvy Aquarius Ascendant.
