re: Election day snafus - Or the infamous computer hacking/vote tampering that SURELY went on in the past 2 elections! There was even an Ohio court case brought, and Karl Rove was heavily implicated, along with an Ohio IT guy whose private plane, with him piloting, went down on his way back from D.C. after supposedly telling the Bush PTB that he would testify about the vote manipulation. Does Mars have anything to do with stuff like this? "Computer wars" or something? ;-)
re: Meditations for Obama - I too am psychic and do healing meditations for people. Can continuing meditations, surrounding Obama with light help protect him from all the negativity surrounding him and help him get re-elected?
re: U.S. empire - Love your work, to me you are the best in the field. I wonder though why not one astrologer has written about the end of the time as World-power for the USA. Brittain held it for over 300 years. Spain ruled the world for awhile and who can forget Rome. But not one held it past a certain time. Maybe the USA will hunker down and do what it does best, do the Phoenix-Thing. The crowning achievement of any Scorpio! But what do you think? Believing in a Scorpio ascendent, Pluto coming full circle migjht make it happen. Thanks for all the interesting work you do, I have learned a lot.
re: the Venus occultation - In your recent columns you have been repeating the same mistake that I and others have been making: that Venus is occulting the Sun this June. This is a Venus transit of the Sun, not an occultation, according to Wikipedia's definition. This makes sense when you think about the meaning of the word "occult," which implies hidden. Venus is too small to hide much of the Sun.
re: the Venus occultation - You mentioned Venus' occultation of the sun in your recent Newscope article, and it got me thinking. What does this signature mean for someone born under it? My son was born during the last Venus occultation, and as he approaches his 8th birthday this Venus occultation will make a "return" of sorts. Is his life destined to be marked in some way by this rare Venus event? And will the upcoming Venus return mean anything significant for him?
A. I don't imagine the Venus occultation in itself will be especially significant for an 8-year old. However, if you're concerned, you should get a reading for your son to get the whole picture. The activation of a boy's Sun is often expressed by events in his father's life.
re: UR-PL square - I was reading your article about austerity measures and the effect that the Pluto Uranus square is having on different countries. I live in Canada, so I was wondering what powerful things would be happening when Pluto and Uranus hit our Sun. Well.....I just noticed that Pluto has already just opposed our Sun Uranus conjunction at 8.5 Cancer right on the IC! I had no idea, and I also have no idea what happened to symbolize that. (Canada's chart is July 1, 1867 NS 0:00 am LMT Ottawa, Canada). The typical recession stuff maybe. Uranus is within one degree of it right now.

re: Scott Walker - Last November 20th I wrote asking you to give your insight on the recall election of our Governor Scott Walker but you chose not to respond. Well, almost one million signatures were collected for his recall and now the date of June 5, 2012 is set for the election. Could you please give us your insight on what might be the results of this election as it is only the third recall of a Governor in U.S. history and the world is watching! This election is touted "the second most important political race." The protests and marches in Madison, Wi. made not only national but international news.

Who Will Win, Obama or Romney?
Last week, USA Today noted that a panel of astrologers at the United Astrology Conference unanimously predicted that President Obama will win re-election in November. The astrologers used an array of different techniques to arrive at their predictions. They also warned that since Mercury is turning retrograde on Election Day, there may be some voting irregularities. Personally, I’m not convinced Obama will win.
Here’s the contrarian view: the 29-year Saturn-in-Scorpio cycle favors Romney’s election. Going back over a century, every time Saturn transited through Scorpio (which corresponds to the nation’s Ascendant), voters turn conservative and elect a business-oriented Republican. The most recent occasion was when Reagan was elected, and prior to that we had Eisenhower, and before that, Calvin Coolidge during the Roaring Twenties
Obama’s chart has some definite favorable developments leading up to the November 6 Election Day, but voters may blame him for the economy’s dire condition. Last Friday, Romney immediately blamed Obama for the dismal unemployment figures reported by the Labor Department. Romney’s Ascendant at 1º Gemini happens to be the exact location of the May 20 Lunar Eclipse: he is already benefitting from transiting Jupiter’s entrance into Gemini on June 10.
Have a look at each candidate’s chart on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2013. Transiting Jupiter will be perfectly trine Romney’s Midheaven, which adequately describes an honor bestowed. Transiting Uranus, the ruler of his Aquarian Midheaven, is favorably sextile his MC. His progressed Midheaven, describing his evolving status, is tremendously empowered by a perfect trine to natal Pluto. His progressed Part of Fortune is exactly conjunct natal Uranus, suggesting an exciting and fortunate elevation of status. These are all indications of victory.
Spain’s Borrowing Costs Soar
While Greece’s desperate financial situation has weighed on global markets, Spain’s deepening recession is a far greater concern. Greece can be bailed out, but Spain – the EU’s fourth largest economy – is struggling with the standard prescription of cash for austerity measures. Spain’s 24 percent unemployment rate and the bursting of its housing and credit bubble are now leading to runs on its banks.
Spain’s horoscope (November 22, 1975; 12:45 pm; Madrid) is being rocked by its dynamic T-square: a financially savvy Venus-Pluto conjunction in the 8th house of debt opposes Jupiter in the 2nd house of financial assets, and both square the Moon in the 6th house of jobs. Due to the over-exuberance inherent in Venus-Jupiter aspects, and amplified by Pluto’s ability to leverage finances, Spain’s economy went through a spectacular boom from 1997 through 2007.
Homeowners over-borrowed, tripling household debt. Then it all came down in 2008 when transiting Pluto opposed Spain’s Mars, and has been worsening ever since. Now transiting Pluto is entering Spain’s T-square, along with transiting Uranus. The degrees involved in this T-square range from 10º to 15º, so we can see that the worst is yet to come, since transiting Uranus and Pluto are at 8º.
Currently, Spain’s situation is well described by transiting Neptune (uncertainty) forming a quincunx to natal Saturn (austerity). The runs on Spain’s major banks can be seen in the prominence of progressed Venus, which is right on Spain’s Midheaven where it octiles natal Pluto. This same signature – a progressed Venus-to-Pluto aspect – is also unfolding in Greece’s chart. For Spain, the progressed Venus-to-Pluto becomes exact on July 2, so we can expect growing desperation about its financial status between now and then.

In case you were wondering why Israel backed off from its threat to attack Iran, the reason was supplied by a New York Times article* last week: The US and Israel co-developed a sophisticated computer virus that successfully infiltrated Iran’s computer systems and undermined its nuclear program. The article named General James Cartwright of the U.S. Strategic Command as the father of the cyberweapon Stuxnet.
Cartwright was born with his Sun in loyal, detail-oriented Virgo (September 22, 1949; Rockford, IL; time unknown), where it squares Vesta in adventurous Sagittarius. The Sun-Vesta combination enhances both his devotion to duty and his focus on whatever project he’s working on. Pallas, also in Virgo, is closely trine Jupiter, giving him exceptional vision and pattern recognition skills, all of which he applied to the innovative Stuxnet project.
Mercury is retrograde and conjunct secretive Neptune, allowing him to think outside the box when it comes to stealth and virtual reality. Cartwright’s Mercury-Neptune conjoins his South Node, which in turn is exactly aligned with the Pentagon’s Libra Ascendant (July 26, 1947; 12:15 pm; Washington DC). These connections show him as the initiator of Cyberwarfare, which began under his watch and due to his proposal.
As the Uranus-Pluto square tightens up, an entirely new kind of warfare has begun. Because it worked so well, many within the intelligence community want to use these viruses to attack Syria, North Korea, or China. However, in the summer of 2010, when a transiting Saturn-Uranus opposition aligned with Cartwright’s Sun, Stuxnet escaped its target area of Natanz, Iran and began replicating itself “in the wild”. Now computer experts can decipher the code and redesign it to attack the U.S.
