re: Larry Ellison - in the 80's i lived a native style life on an undeveloped Hawaiian island for 7 years. There was an ancient kapu put on the island by the kahunas of old which was to protect the island from outsiders. and 2 or 3 millionaires could not beat our political fighting and certain natural happenings. Ellison is not a good person and plans to move the Hawaiians out for a typical luxe resort. but like my island the water supply is poisoned by 100 years or more of chemicals to produce the best pineapples. I never went to so many funerals in my life as I did on my island, most of it cancer of folks below 55. i would like to say that Oracle will steadily go down and now he has an ancient powerful curse on himself for buying lanai. at some point he has to implode and hopefully Hawaii will do him in as it has so many others.
re: who will win - Your insights into the upcoming election+Mercury Rx were insightful. I didn't think of that. But, I feel Obama will win handily because America wants its first black president to have a 2nd term. He will be forgiven much.
re: who will win - I think that we must also remember that Obama's secret strength is his ability to beat the odds (Jupiter conjunct Saturn in 12th house), and thereby best his opposition (Saturn inconjunct Uranus, and trine Mars in 7th house). Ever see videos of Obama shooting swish hoops, one after another, from way back around mid-court? First African American President in our history, in a country with the ruling class (ruling dynasty?) being of all northern European extraction. I continue to enjoy "Neptune Cafe", and your other writings.
re: who will win - I enjoy your insight very much. Your latest comments on the election are thought provoking. In looking at the dates of National Conventions, it appears that the Moon will be void all day on Obama's nomination day. I have read that Presidential nominees on a void moon always lose. Do you have any thoughts on that?
re: who will win - In your last column, you predicted a Romney win because among other things, Saturn will transit Scorpio during 2013, indicating that "voters turn conservative and elect a business-oriented Republican." However, I would argue that Romney is more of a radical than a Conservative. He, along with the GOP, is running on a platform of radical change, such as repealing ACA, voucherizing Medicare, reforming social security,reforming our tax code to benefit the rich, and rolling back most environmental and financial regulations. To me Obama is more of the status quo. So wouldn't Saturn in Scorpio be related more to actual conservative policies rather than party labels?
re: Election day snafus - Or the infamous computer hacking/vote tampering that SURELY went on in the past 2 elections! There was even an Ohio court case brought, and Karl Rove was heavily implicated, along with an Ohio IT guy whose private plane, with him piloting, went down on his way back from D.C. after supposedly telling the Bush PTB that he would testify about the vote manipulation. Does Mars have anything to do with stuff like this? "Computer wars" or something? ;-)
re: Meditations for Obama - I too am psychic and do healing meditations for people. Can continuing meditations, surrounding Obama with light help protect him from all the negativity surrounding him and help him get re-elected?
re: U.S. empire - Love your work, to me you are the best in the field. I wonder though why not one astrologer has written about the end of the time as World-power for the USA. Brittain held it for over 300 years. Spain ruled the world for awhile and who can forget Rome. But not one held it past a certain time. Maybe the USA will hunker down and do what it does best, do the Phoenix-Thing. The crowning achievement of any Scorpio! But what do you think? Believing in a Scorpio ascendent, Pluto coming full circle migjht make it happen. Thanks for all the interesting work you do, I have learned a lot.

Michelle Obama on Election Day
A reader wonders what’s happening in the candidates’ wives charts as a way to confirm or contradict a Romney victory come Election Day. It’s a good idea, since their lives are every bit as dependent on the outcome as the candidates themselves. Although we have no accurate birth data for either spouse, NewsScope has proposed rectified, speculative charts.
Michelle Obama’s birth time of 3:22 am gives her Virgo at the Midheaven. In November 2008 when Barack was elected, transiting Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus were all aligned with her Midheaven, bringing about this historic transition. In particular, transiting Uranus had just entered her 4th house, signifying a major relocation, which unfolded as the couple moved from Chicago to the White House.
Transiting Uranus is still in her 4th house, but is now in a long-term, unsettling square to her Mercury, the ruler of her Midheaven. On November 6, 2012 Uranus here is only 0º25’ from the exact square, which actually happens twice over the following two months as Uranus turns direct in this critical degree. This has the evident meaning of feeling uprooted, and most likely, the need to pack the bags.
The First Lady has several hard transits and progressions right around Election Day that indicate a loss for Team Obama. Among these, transiting Saturn is in a frustrating square to her Mars, and this one becomes exact on November 1. The month of November brings an emotionally and psychologically intense situation since her progressed Moon squares Pluto near her Midheaven. Transiting Neptune squares her Ascendant then too, suggesting disappointment.

Ann Romney on Election Day
Ann Romney’s proposed birth time of 1:40 am gives her a Scorpio Midheaven, with Pluto, the planet ruling her fate and public status, in the 7th house of partners. An obvious favorable development on Election Day is that transiting Jupiter at 14º Gemini is closely sextile her Pluto. Also, her progressed Midheaven at 14º Capricorn is nearing her Ascendant as it forms a quincunx to her Pluto, re-shaping her personal identity through the transformation of her partner.
In Ms. Romney’s chart, Uranus takes on a prominent role since it’s sextile to her Aries Sun. And according to traditional astrology, Uranus becomes the co-ruler of her chart since it’s associated with Aquarius which is intercepted in the 1st house. Uranus conjoins Pallas, the political strategy asteroid, giving her exceptionally sharp skills in this department. She has become a primary political strategist in the Romney campaign.
Uranus is located in her 6th house, which is associated with health. In 1997 she began feeling
weak and numb, and a year later was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. This debilitating illness arrived when transiting Neptune was in her 1st house and quincunx natal Uranus. Over the following year, as her progressed Venus conjoined Uranus, she found ways to treat her MS, and since then has lived a lifestyle without limitations.
Ann Romney’s progressed Sun is now conjoining natal Uranus, an exciting connection that becomes exact in November. Simultaneously, her progressed Ascendant at 27º Aries will be perfectly sextile her Uranus, adding to an auspicious outcome. Her progressed Moon is in a particularly favorable place: it enters Aries in October, suggesting a new start. And on Election Day her progressed Moon is sextile Jupiter in her 1st house. She’s coming to Washington.
Peter Higgs and the Uranus-Pluto Cycle
Last week scientists around the world applauded the discovery of the elusive Higgs boson particle, which was roundly hailed as an historic milestone in understanding how our universe works. Peter Higgs, the theorist who proposed its existence decades ago, was greeted by a standing ovation* when he arrived at CERN, the multinational research center in Geneva where the announcement was made.
Peter Higgs was born with a Sun-Vesta conjunction in intellectual Gemini (May 29, 1929; Newcastle upon Tyne, UK; time unknown), a combination that gains insight into the Big Picture by a sextile to Uranus, and is energized by a sextile to Mars in Leo. The Sun-Vesta in Gemini prefers a rational approach to life’s mysteries as does his Moon in Aquarius, which likewise relies on theoretical models to explain the unknown.
Higgs was born during the generational Uranus-Pluto square of the late 1920s and early 1930s. Since his Sun-Vesta so closely sextiles Uranus, he has been able to embody that revolutionary dynamic through his ability to think outside the box. On August 31, 1964 he submitted a radical paper where he proposed the existence of a primary particle that gave all other particles mass. At the time, the transiting Sun and Mercury activated the Uranus-Pluto conjunction of the mid-1960s.
Last week, the transiting Sun, Mercury and Venus were all activating the Uranus-Pluto square as the news leaked out. So the peak moments in Peter Higgs’ life have an astrological symmetry to them: born during a Uranus-Pluto square, published his major theory during the Uranus-Pluto conjunction, and the theory validated during the current Uranus-Pluto square. Whether Higgs knows it or not, he lives in an enchanted universe that has meaning beyond the things of scientific scrutiny.
