re: Reeva Steencamp - So if we knew her birth time, would it be easier to see something definitive, death-wise? You are being clear enough. But golly, these transits touch a lot of people and they don't die. Everyone born the same day as she was, for instance, didn't die when she did. You've talked, in the past, about the nodes being involved when someone dies, too.
A. Her choice to be with Oscar Pistorius creates another perspective of her life, and that's how her planets interact with his. The martial influences are overwhelming, and they exacerbate her own Mars-Juno square.
re: Monsanto - I am on your site several times a week to glean your astrological insights into current events and personalities and find your analysis very insightful. I just read an article on the Yahoo Financial page where Monsanto is suing a 75 year old grain farmer from Indiana, Vernon Bowman for $84,456. claiming he is using seeds that were developed by Monsanto and not signing the patent protection agreement which Monsanto closely guards.... The case is now going to the Supreme Court. I am wondering if you could run a chart on Monsanto and share your insights into this upcoming case.

Iraq's dinar - Love your weekly review. I want to ask about a curious currency issue that seems to be blooming. I am sure your readers would enjoy your take on the timing of this event when the Iraqi Dinar rises in value. Just in the last 2 weeks another major oil deposit was discovered
not to mention that their gold reserves have had a major increase... so if they can get their act together... how do you see this as to timing for investors?
re: Keth Urban - I read the page on Mariah as America's Favorite Diva and noted her work on American Idol. Actually, the person getting a lot of press is country singer Keith Urban, also on AI. He's an interesting character who's made real inroads in his career due to his work on Australia's The Voice show and now AI. Both transiting Mars and Neptune now trine his natal Sun, adding to the showbiz/glamour factor. But it's tr. Pluto that's interesting to study: it's opposite his Asc--nearly exact right now. I think his would be an interesting chart to investigate!
re: Tim Cooks' birth time - I wonder why in the US nobody has raised the question that the law does not allow access to birth certificate records, how is it possible? Here in Italy it is not so. Which privacy is there to protect? One has the right to know when someone is born or not??? The scientists should be in favour of the publicity of birth times, so they can continue to debunk the astrologers!!! Or, keeping concealed birth times is a way to impede the general public in knowing many things regarding public figures, politicians etc. This is against the right to know!
You american astrologers should start a campaign for this, in my opinion!

Inauguration - I've always read about how if the President is sworn in during a moon void of course that he will have trouble being effective during his term, and that this was the case for Obama last term. I have just read that he was privately sworn in at 11:55am EST, just *before* the moon void! Any thoughts for your column? As a Dem, I'm thrilled to see this, and hope this will empower the Prez to route those untoward Republicans, who just sit on their hands, seemingly out of spite or racism or craziness.

A. The Inauguration chart, set for noon, was posted and described in NewsScope's December 31, 2012 issue. The Moon makes one final square to Mars before going void of course, which does in deed push Obama into action.
re: Salopek - I enjoyed reading about Paul Salopek, mostly because my best friend's birthday is also Feb 9, 1962. She's one of the Aqua-stells as well. Her stellium falls in her 4th house though so she's all about her family, and her challenges lately have been about teenagers!
A. That week in February 1962 has some notoriety, since psychic Jeanne Dixon predicted that the "anti-Christ" would be born during the New Moon on February 4, 1962. Later, she changed her mind and said it would be the second coming of Jesus. Sheryl Crowe was born on February 11, 1962, Jennifer Jason Leigh was born on febraury 5, 1962, and King Abdullah II of Jordan was born on January 30, 1962.

A. Yes, she's going through a handful of challenging Saturn transits and progressions: transiting Saturn has been conjunct her Sun, progressed Mercury to Saturn, progressed Moon to Saturn, and more. These are indications that she needs a rest. The unexpected accident happened as her progressed Midheaven was exactly trioctile Uranus -- exhaustion and over-work allow these mishaps into our lives.

re: rightwingers - I enjoy your NewsScope segment. I find it very interesting that two of the highest profile uncompromising right wingers share this energy. Eric Cantor has a Sun opposition Moon both square Pluto. (The NRA's Wayne) LaPierre has Moon opposed Pluto both Square the Sun. These two will never look for common ground.

Black Moon Lilith Upsets the Vatican
The Italian press is having a field day running reports about the network of high-ranking gay bishops within the Vatican hierarchy. Last week, the Vatican struck back, attacking the reports that Pope Benedict resigned because of his discovery of this gay network, asserting that these are "unverified, unverifiable or completely false news stories.” The Vatican nevertheless deplored the divisions and jealousies that afflict its bureaucracy.
This tri-wheel section shows the natal Saturn-Lilith conjunction, and transiting Pluto conjunct progressed Lilith
Astrologically, bureaucracies are ruled by Saturn, and in the Vatican’s modern incarnation (June 7, 1929; 11:00 am; Vatican City, Italy), Saturn is found in the morally righteous sign of Sagittarius. It happens to conjoin Black Moon Lilith, an emerging archetypal force in the 21st century. For millennia, Lilith has been demonized by the Catholic Church, but now that women and other forbidden factions are becoming empowered, Lilith is having her revenge.
Since Saturn represents the Vatican’s patriarchal domination of society and Lilith represents unrestrained feminine power, Lilith and Saturn make uncomfortable bedfellows. A repressed Black Moon Lilith becomes dysfunctional and operates in secret. By transit and progression, this archetype brings unpleasant surprises, revelations, and scandals. For example, Pope Benedict announced his abdication on February 11 when transiting Lilith was at 16º Gemini – exactly conjunct the Vatican Sun.
Over the last decade, Lilith has progressed from her natal position at 1º Capricorn to 10º Capricorn, where it formed a square to the 8th house Uranus. This influence corresponded to the unraveling of the predator priest problem across the Catholic universe. Currently, progressed Lilith is at 11º Capricorn, and is being activated by transiting Pluto, also at 11º Capricorn. Over the next three months, transiting Uranus will square this complex, adding its upsetting, ruinous influence. If the next pope can’t deal with Lilith’s factions, he may indeed be the rumored “last pope”, the one who oversees the collapse of the Vatican’s supremacy.
March’s Top Five Astro-Events
1. A rare four-planet configuration involving Jupiter, Saturn, Chiron and Pluto promises historic developments in global affairs. This complex is most influential during the last two weeks when we can expect major economic, political, and military developments. In personal charts, a placement at 10º or 11º of any sign is mega-activated and the house position describes the area where huge changes are taking place.
2. The New Moon on the 11th takes place with seven planets in faith-oriented, watery Pisces. We can anticipate headline news about the next pope and since the New Moon squares Black Moon Lilith, perhaps an unexpected or controversial dark horse will be in the running. Watch for unusual storm activity, especially around coastal areas. Watch out for distracted or multitasking drivers.
3. Mercury turns direct on the 17th while very near Neptune, bringing a 2-3 day window when intuition is heightened. This is an excellent time to listen to your inner voice, follow your hunches, and pay attention to your dreams for practical guidance. A concurrent Sun-Venus conjunction in play suggests breaking news about celebrity relationships, and within your network, a romantic triangle may be emerging.
4. Mars conjoins Uranus on the 22nd and then aspects the four outer planet complex to create an extremely volatile social, economic and political environment for the rest of the month. The Mars-Uranus conjunction is strongest from the 20th to 22nd when the global hotspots can expect explosions, fires, terrorism, and military conflicts. Choose your battles wisely and avoid petty hostilities.
5. A Sun-Venus-Uranus triple conjunction on the 28th brings spontaneous accords, meetings, and exciting social gatherings. A Mercury-Saturn trine on the 27th and 28th indicates a good time to sign documents or contracts, and otherwise make long-term agreements. Impulsive love affairs may begin around this time, while long-term relationships may be re-kindled by doing something completely different.
Danica Patrick’s Rising Star
Both personally and professionally, it’s been a big year already for racecar driver Danica Patrick. On January 3, she filed for a divorce from her husband, physical trainer Paul Hospenthal. And last Friday she won the pole position for the Daytona 500 to become the first woman to win the pole position in NASCAR’s Sprint Cup series of races.
Danica Patrick was born during the New Moon in Aries (March 25, 1982; Beloit, WI; time unknown), giving her a double dose
of the willful, courageous, passionate vitality we associate with this sign. The Sun and Moon are also opposed to Mars, which intensifies her competitive drive. But with her Sun closely trine to Uranus, she does so with a sense of fair play – all of which makes racing the ideal arena for her warrior spirit.
Venus in the team-oriented sign Aquarius is well supported by trines to Saturn and Pluto in Libra. Venus here suggests that the racecar driver only succeeds with a highly efficient mechanical, business, and promotional team. Venus, as the love planet, also gave her a seven-year marriage which just recently ended amicably. Venus’s one challenging aspect is the square to Chiron, which undoubtedly makes her feel like an outsider in this male-dominated sport.
Already a pioneer in the racing world, Patrick got off to a great start this year when transiting Uranus turned direct right on her Aries Sun. One of her key strengths is that her Sun also opposes Pallas, the asteroid associated with pattern recognition, and for women, the instinct to compete and succeed in a man’s world. Now that her progressed Pallas is nearly exactly aligned with her Sun, we can expect her star to continue rising over the next two years.
